Monday, April 15, 2024, is not only Tax Day in the United States. It is also the day that this country will take another fateful step towards banana republic-like tyranny. For it is the day that New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg—or, to give him his full title, “Soros-funded District Attorney Alvin Bragg”—will begin his 34-count felony trial against Donald Trump.

Exactly what is the presumptive Republican nominee for president charged with by the Biden Department of Justice? Paying Stormy Daniels—or to give her the invariable epithet, “porn star Stormy Daniels” (think “swift-footed Achilles,” “gray-eyed Athena”)—to keep quiet about an alleged sexual encounter in 2006 (which Trump has consistently denied).

Biden DOJ Says President Trump Can Be Sued over January 6th Protests

On Thursday, government lawyers with the Department of Justice (DOJ) declared that former President Donald J. Trump can face civil lawsuits over the peaceful protests that took place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021.

The New York Post reports that the attorneys from the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division made this statement in a filing with a D.C. appeals court, claiming that President Trump cannot use legal immunity to shield himself from the lawsuits that have already been filed against him by two Capitol Police officers and 11 Democratic members of the House of Representatives. The determination by the DOJ would also leave him susceptible to further lawsuits of a similar nature.

The DOJ pleaded for that funding in its 2023 budget request, saying U.S. Attorneys’ offices would have to cut budgets to pay for Jan. 6 prosecutions otherwise, the outlet reported. The department’s investigation has already resulted in more than 870 arrests, with hundreds of identified Jan. 6 riot participants avoiding arrest so far.

Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate and state Sen. Doug Mastriano warned Monday that President Joe Biden’s administration sought to “intimidate” anyone “on the political opposition” through the arrest of a Catholic, pro-life father last week.

Mastriano referred to the early Friday morning arrest of Mark Houck, whose wife told Life Site News that 25-30 FBI agents entered their home around 7 a.m. with “big, huge rifles” to arrest her husband as their children watched, crying and screaming, from the top of the stairs.
