Border Patrol Agents: June Southwest Border Apprehension Data Is a ‘Shell Game’

Apprehension and gotaway data for June, which was significantly lower than previous months, is deceptive, a Customs and Border Patrol agent as well as the former acting CBP Chief and former Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan told The Center Square. 

They spoke in response to lower numbers reported for the month by Border Patrol agents that total over 135,000, which is significantly lower than previous months even though large numbers of people are still coming through.

Border Agents Encounter Record Number of Illegal Migrants on Terror Watchlist in Past Year

Border Patrol agents encountered 98 illegal migrants, a record high, whose names were on the terror watchlist at the southern border in fiscal year 2022, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data.

The terror watchlist numbers coincide with record numbers of migrant encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered an all-time high of nearly 2.3 million migrants at the southern border during the October 2021 to September 2022 time period.

Border patrol agents are preparing for “a possible increase in migrant activity due to an increase in large group activity” as a result of Biden administration immigration policies, an internal Department of Homeland Security document released by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody says.

It specifically sites suspending the Migrant Protection Protocols, otherwise known as the Remain in Mexico Policy, and terminating the public health authority, Title 42, as contributing to an influx of people coming to the U.S. southern border from Central and South America through Mexico.

New Photos Allegedly Show Border Patrol Agents Releasing Illegal Aliens into Texas Towns

On Wednesday, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives shared photos that apparently depict the Border Patrol releasing hordes of illegal aliens into several towns in southern Texas.

The Daily Caller reports that Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) shared the photos on Twitter, showing Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents releasing illegals into the towns of Uvalde and Carrizo Springs. Gonzales said that the illegals were released because all of the detention facilities “in the area” run by the Border Patrol are “over capacity.”

Biden Administration Silent After Border Patrol Agents Rescue Illegal Migrants from Raging River

Border Patrol agents on Saturday morning saved the lives of an illegal immigrant family trapped in the Rio Grande River. The Biden administration has been publically silent on the daring rescue.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents at about 7:40 a.m. saw what appeared to be a family attempting to cross the river, according to a Customs and Border Protection press release. As the group neared the U.S. border, the ground collapsed beneath them. The family struggled to swim as the current carried them downriver.
