University of Wyoming Sorority Members Appeal Court Decision Allowing Biological Men into Chapter

Several female members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter at the University of Wyoming filed an appeal Monday after a court dismissed their lawsuit regarding a biological male who was allowed into their sorority house, according to court documents.

A judge ruled in August that the national organization of Kappa Kappa Gamma has the right to determine its own definition of women for its sororities and did not violate the rules by allowing biological male Artemis Langford, who identifies as a woman, into the chapter. In their first filing, the plaintiffs also listed Langford as one of the defendants, but the appeal only lists the housing organization, the chapter and Kappa Kappa Gamma President Mary Pat Rooney, according to court documents.

Does an 84 year-old Reagan appointee to the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming really believe that it is acceptable, morally or legally, for a man who claims he identifies as a woman to join a college sorority and intrude on all that entails?

Last year at the University of Wyoming, officers and graduating seniors bullied younger members of a national college sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, into not objecting to the admission into their sorority and their sorority house of a person who not only was not a woman, but who also did not meet the academic standards of the sorority.

Wyoming Sorority Sisters ‘Live in Fear’ of Trans Member

The University of Wyoming is being sued by a group of sorority sisters over the university’s acceptance of a biological man who identifies as a woman into their sorority.

The New York Post reports that the lawsuit was filed by seven members of Kappa Kappa Gamma against both the university and the male student himself, 21-year-old Artemis Langford, after he repeatedly became physically aroused in the women’s presence. Langford, a 6-foot-2 and 260-pound man, first joined the sorority in September of 2022, and had been living outside the sorority house for the past year, but was expected to move into the house later this year. The suit refers to him by the male alias of “Terry Smith.”
