Dave McCormick Completes 67-County Tour of Pennsylvania After Sen. Bob Casey Claimed to Visit ‘Every County, Every Year’

Republican U.S. Senate nominee Dave McCormick on Friday completed campaign stops in every county in Pennsylvania, according to his campaign.

The McCormick campaign reported the Republican “officially visited all 67 counties in Pennsylvania after a stop at Goodfella’s Pizza in Matamoras, Pike County.”

McCormick stated, “This campaign is about fighting for the great people of Pennsylvania, and you can’t do that without meeting voters where they are. As Senator, I’ll represent every corner of our commonwealth, from big cities to small towns.”

Turning to Casey, the Republican declared, “Bob Casey has proven he isn’t willing to put in the work, and maybe that’s why he’s so out of touch, voting with Joe Biden 98% of the time. Pennsylvanians deserve better and I’m determined to give that to them.”

McCormick’s campaign released a “recap video” featuring clips from his stops throughout the commonwealth. A press release explains McCormick traveled “over 42,000 miles” to complete the 345 stops in his tour.

The Republican completed his tour of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties after a Broad and Liberty report which claimed Casey misrepresented his travel schedule after the Democrat said in a radio interview that he visits “every county, every year.”

Casey claimed that, in order to “stay engaged” with his constituents, he visits “every county, every year, basically, which is what I’ve done for years now.”

After the outlet analyzed Casey’s public travel schedule and determined that he only visited 39 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties within an 18-month period, the McCormick campaign said the Democrat had “lost touch” with the commonwealth.

“No wonder this creature of the swamp has lost touch with Pennsylvanians’ concerns over sky-high inflation and the war on energy. If career politician Casey is willing to be dishonest about this, what else is he not telling voters? Another day, another Casey lie,” said a campaign spokesman at the time.

Following the statement from the McCormick campaign, a Politics PA article claimed, citing “sources familiar with the senator’s travel,” that Casey last visited every Pennsylvania county in 2022. The outlet also reported Casey visited “all but four in north-central and northwestern PA” in 2023.
