Study: Transgender Industry’s ‘Transition or Die’ Youth Suicide Narrative ‘Factually Inaccurate and Ethically Fraught’

A recent study finds the often “inaccurate” and “incomplete” informed consent process engaged in by transgender industry clinicians is propped up by the activist “alarmist” narrative whereby parents are told their failure to approve their child’s transgender medical treatments could likely result in his or her suicide.

In the study published in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy, Dr. Stephen B. Levine, of the Department of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University, and his colleagues note the “unprecedented rise in the numbers of children and adolescents seeking gender transition” in under a decade.

Border Patrol, Facing Low Morale, Offers $10K Hiring Bonus for New Agents

As the Border Patrol and various other immigration enforcement agencies face increasingly low morale and a historically disastrous immigration crisis, the agency is now offering an additional $10,000 hiring bonus in an effort to recruit new agents.

Fox News reports that the bonus was announced in a notice released on Monday, which said that any new agents would be given $5,000 as a “recruitment incentive” after completing the academy, followed by another $5,000 if they are assigned to “hard-to-fill” areas in Texas and Arizona.

American Businesses Plan Their Escape from Taiwan Should China Invade

American businesses, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small firms, are preparing to evacuate staff and assets from Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion, Politico reported Thursday.

The Chinese military has been ramping up intimidation tactics against the island following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s two-day visit, most recently firing “precision missile strikes” into the Taiwan Strait as a show of targeted force, according to Fox News Thursday. The country’s ramped up drills have left some companies spooked after the Russian invasion of Ukraine led to dozens of major corporations escaping or having their assets seized, according to Politico.

Senators Introduce Pennsylvania Data Privacy Measure

Two Pennsylvania legislators this week proposed a law to protect consumers’ data from merchants who collect such information.

Authored by Senators Maria Collett (D-North Wales) and Lisa Boscola (D-Bethlehem), the bill would ensure Pennsylvania consumers are informed about what personal information businesses collect. The policy would also require disclosure of any entities to whom the data is being sold and allow customers to decline to have any of their information trafficked or utilized for profit. Selling the data of consumers under the age of 16 would be prohibited outright.
